Welcome...I am not familiar with the Delaware breed but LOVE my Jersey Giants. We handled them frequently from day one, they are now very docile and will lay in my lap or perch, then fall asleep on my shoulder. We have two Pullets recovering from injury, staying in the house. They spend time on the back of the couch, but are equally comfortable laying with our two Beagles or Pitbull/Boxer. I would not hesitate to get more. . .JJ
