
The pros and cons of having a rooster? First thing that comes to my mind is chicks (that's a pro) and crowing (for some people that's a con, I like it myself). Roosters are also known for alerting their flock to predators which can be very helpful if you plan on free ranging.
If you decide you don't want him, try to find him a home or let him become someone's dinner...unless he's a special breed, you probably won't be able to sell him because there are most always more roosters around than what is needed (1 rooster can take care of 8-10 hens).
