New to raising chickies!

Hey! My name is Shannon and my family and I are new to raising chickens. We just got 8 white leghorn chicks and 5 black sex link chicks. We are starting out kind of big but I couldn't say no when I saw the little sex link chicks. Right now we have them in a small 2x6 coop since they are so little but are going to start our chicken mansion this weekend. Any tips and ideas on coops would be great. We have a general plan we are going with but are open to any ideas. Thanks and can't wait to watch our little chickies grow!

! Pleased you joined us and welcome to the poultry universe. The only advice I'd have is to use high quality hinges and latches, use hardware cloth, and make the whole thing bigger than you think you might need in case you ever want to add birds! (Space recommended is 4 sq. ft./bird). Good luck and have fun.
