Atleast when they are still 3 weeks old. I did this yesteraday and they all flew away. It took an hour just to get them all back...and we were extremely lucky.

After making a stacked cage and some brooders I recommend any wire floors be pvc coated if possible. Also horizontal nipples for watering and quail egg scissors

I haven't had a chance to do quail yet but they seem interesting and fun.

I had heard that when they are young, hatchlings they can literally starve to death within a day (faster life cycle) if they don't have food and water constantly. (Is this true? And if it is then this would be good to know?)
