New to site and 1st flock of hens!

I have 3 white leg horns, 3 black sex-links and 4 red sex-links. My coop I built from scratch and I'm quite pleased! My girls are about 24 weeks plus any advice?

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. You have the best layers in the chicken world. I have all three breeds (technically sex links are hybrids and not true breeds) at one time or another over the years, and they are all egg laying machines. I still Black Sex Links, and not only are they hardy and friendly, but they are my best layers, consistently churning out more than 300 eggs per hen per year. I know from research the the sex-links are not breeds but I didn't know how well they laid eggs compared to pure breeds! I would love to know how the cocks from this hybrid mix are though!
