Hello all
Family man, 3 kids oldest 11 and live in Barrow Upon Humber UK,
My hobby is pest control and target shooting
We have wanted chickens for some time now and found ourself buying a chicken coop in with the deal we did on a greenhouse recently
The coop is now up and ready for four girls and with that in mind i thought it be best to join a forum on the said subject with it be our first time owning birds ourself's.
Now the coop says it's for four but there's only two nest boxes inside but plenty of room in the space before the nest boxes though, is this correct and will it be ok for four birds with only two nests?
Second, what be the best bird to get for a starter like ourself's?
also i'm thinking of young birds to start will this be best?.. reason i ask is, will it make them more easy to handle?
Got plenty other question to ask but i'll leave it here for now, don't want to be burning member minds out with a noval for a first post..
thanks for your time,
Jay.
