New to the chicken world!

Welcome to BYC! One thing I will suggest is putting down a predator apron around the parameter of your coop if suburban dogs (or other predators) can get in your yard. You can use 2' coated welded wire fencing. Attach it to the base of your coop with a nailer/stapler so that you have a 2' fencing laying on the ground around the entire parameter. Use lawn staples to pin it down to the ground. This will discourage any digging under your coop to get to your girls.

I was worried about that, thanks so much for this!!

No problem! You can click the "My coop" link on my profile to the left to see photos of my coop, with some good shots of the predator apron. We are nearly 2 years in with our girls and have not had any predator issues (and we are way out in the country too--with coyotes, bobcats, raccoons...you name it!).

Welcome to BYC. You will find that almost all members hate prefab coops. You will need to think about building one very soon. The prefabs do not hold up well and they will not keep your chicks safe from predators. All is not lost, you can use your prefab as a temporary brooder or nest for broody hens if you put it in a secure, covered run.
Your pullets are most likely a production breed.
