New to the Chicken world

During the great egg shortage in 2024 we decided to get and raise some chicks this spring. They were adorable, and messy and hilarious. They have really become part of the family.
First timers with lots of questions.
We are in Colorado and know that the elements and predators will pose a problem.
We got several breeds from wyandotte to red star. Totally have no idea but we love our white hens that are sweet. The Brahmas aren't as social.
We also like to garden, hoping to improve at that.
We ski and scuba dive as well.
Our HOA recently informed us that even though the city allows up to 6 hens we may have to get rid of our girls. Any help on that front is much appreciated.

Unfortunately, I think HOAs can set their own rules for anyone living within their neighborhoods, regardless of city law on things like that. I don't agree with it at all, and I think HOAs have WAY too much power. I hope you're able to fight it though! Welcome to BYC! I'm new to chickens as well, and this site is great.
