New to the Chicken world!

My family just bought our first 10 chicks from a friend down the road. They are 7 Wilsummers and 3 copper merans if I spelled that right. They seem to be healthy and growing good. They where hatched May 13th I got them for three bucks each. I'll keep you posted on the progress.

It's spelled Marans. I have 3 blue copper ones myself that are 5 weeks old. Good luck!

Ours are Marans too. Ours are almost 3 weeks old and we are brand new to this too. We started out with 8 but lost one last week to what seemed to be just failure to thrive. The rest are doing great and are growing fast! Wishing you the best with your new flock!

I have Silkies but i really had considered Marans too. It was a difficult decision on which breed. In the end it came down to Golden Sex-Links and Silkies.
