Hi all!
New-ish chicken family here! Our girls will be a year old in September and weāve had quite that adventure so far with them! We started out with 10 8 week olds (we werenāt confident in doing the brooder/chick set up, then adopted 4 teenagers, and then decided a few weeks ago to get chicks so we got 7 more littles.
Everyone joked about chicken math and I said āno weāll be fine with our 10ā¦ā oops⦠haha
My 2 small children (6 & 3) LOVE our chickens! The girls all have names and are probably my 3yr olds biggest fans. Heās the treat provider so it only makes sense that heās their favorite human.
We initially decided on chickens so we could āsave on buying eggsā, boy were weāre silly in our thinking! We do love the eggs but these girls have completely become pets and we spoil them rotten. Wouldnāt have it any other way!
Thanks for letting me join
