Welcome from New Orleans. Please spare yourself and any roosters you may have the use of a no crow collar, my understanding is that the poor bird often chocks to death.

Not all males are big crowers. I won't use a crow collar. If you're worried about your neighbors, give them some fresh eggs when they start laying. If you can post some pictures of the suspect males, members may be able to help. You will find a lot of good information here Welcome to BYC!Hello,
My name is Jess and I have 7 beautiful 11 week old chickens. I have had them since they were 5 weeks old and the breeds include; australorp, barnevelder, speckled sussex and plymouth barred rock. I live in the suburbs so we will need to rehome the boys (looks like I have at least 3) when we can 100% identify them unfortunately. We were hoping to keep one rooster, so if anyone has any experience on keeping a rooster quiet I would love to hear it! I have seen the collars you can get but unsure if this is cruel or not?
