:frow Welcome from New Orleans. Please spare yourself and any roosters you may have the use of a no crow collar, my understanding is that the poor bird often chocks to death.
On a happier note, what happens if you are reported with a Rooster? And is it worth it to you? Those are the major questions you have to ask yourself. If you are friendly with your neighbors, take the cockerel you want to keep (after rehoming any others) and bring him door to door, offering your neighbors eggs when the girls start laying and asking if they would mind if you kept the cockerel to protect your hens from danger. Then let them know that if for some reason the noise becomes a problem, please let you know and you will rehome him.

:welcome:frow Not all males are big crowers. I won't use a crow collar. If you're worried about your neighbors, give them some fresh eggs when they start laying.
