(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We had chickens when I was a kid growing up, but this is the first time I will have chickens on my own
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

(3) What breeds do you have?
Unsure about 4 of them, and 3 white leghorn pullets
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love all animals, and the fresh eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, raising my babies, my animals.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a husband and a baby boy, 2 dogs, a cat, a full vegetable garden, and am trying to go as "off the grid" as i can.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC while googling questions about my chicks!

We saved a spot for you on the roost! Off grid is an excellent idea if you can do it. Chickens are an integral part of that. They're a renewable resource!
