New to the country and raising some chickens! :)

We just recently bought our first house and our first chickens. We are doing our best to figure things out with them. Overall it seems to be going smoothly, though we did lose a chicken shortly after moving in (neighbor dog got into the temporary housing and all the chickens got loose, found all but one). We enjoy having chickens and fresh eggs so much we are even talking about setting up a whole section of yard and buying maybe 25 more chicks next spring!

My family consists of: Me, hubby, 1 daughter and 1 daughter-on-the-way, 1 Pomeranian, 1 lab mix, 1 escape artist cat, and 6 chickens.
