I'm new to BackYardChickens and to living in the country. My husband and I just bought 80 acres of tall grass prairie, and we're leasing 60 to a local farmer for cattle grazing. The remaining 20 will be for our own livestock, and I'm starting with chickens. Is there anyone out there still selling hatching eggs for Spitzhaubens or Houdans? I've already hatched enough Barred Plymouth Rocks to get us started (practical chickens), so I'm currently in the market for some chickens with more interesting personalities and appearances. We're in Oklahoma. Howdie!!
