Hello!
My name is Kate and I recently adopted a flock of 8 chickens from a friend. I'm not sure exactly of all the breeds, but I know I have 1 Rhode Island Red, 1 White Sussex, 1 Americauna, and 2 Black Australorpe, and 2 lovely golden ones that I haven't yet identified. In my month with these ladies, I've had a little baptism by fire dealing with Coccidiosis, Roundworm, flock bullying (yes, way more than just pecking order kerfuffles) and a swollen/shut eye. It's been quite a ride so far! Grateful for the information and advice I've already gleaned from this group.
