New to the forum and need info on Egyptian Geese in Central Texas

I have a farm on Canyon Lake, TX. Last October a couple of the geese showed up down on the pier at our pond. Once they realized there was "food" to be had, the numbers continued to grow.
I ended up with about a dozen, who stayed here through January and then all but 2 disappeared. They sleep, eat and hang around with one of my two large white geese that I raised from babies. A month ago, they started to return from the lake area. They would show up at dawn (as I was feeding the other farm animals) hang around all day and then fly back to the lake at dusk. Last count, I am up to 62 egyptian geese and NOW most of them stay here ALL the time. When they see my golf cart, they know it is feeding time and they follow me to the barn. Is this normal?

from NH. It's funny how you start out with a pair of geese and they miraculously increase in numbers... without breeding being involved. One of my family members lived next to a highway and started off with a trio of geese. People would drive by, see the geese and occasionally drop off any unwanted geese they had. I think at last count there were 24 geese in the pen. And none were babies.
