New to the Forum

Hi. Living on 5.5 acres in Southeast Iowa. We recently lost most of our chickens to a racoon attack while we were out of town. Not a pretty site to come home to. Thankfully I got the better of the invader. We now have one RIR and one Buff Orp. We have 4 chicks that are crossed with our former Silver Laced Wyandotte. Not certain which mom's the eggs were from. We had RIR and Buffs in there. The mom left with the chicks is a Buff.

Anyway. I live here with my wife of 13 years and our 2 yearold son. It's nice and quiet and our nearest neighbors are .5 miles away in both directions.
