It may be the same way with ducks, I've never had any but I would think so! Good luck if you decide to!

Would love to have ducks but no water other than our pool and not willing to give that over. We have a pair of mallards who arrive every spring and try to nest there but the pool guy tells us once you let them they take it over. We're not quite that bird-crazy yet.

I used to have a pet duck named Ronald when I was a kid. He would follow my buddies and I everywhere. We lived in an apartment complex and wasn't even supposed to have animals, so we hid
him from our landlord. Then one day we saw Ronald following the landlord around while he was doing
repairs. I thought I was in trouble but found out he knew about Ronald the whole time and thought of him as the neighborhood mascot. We later took him to a farm to live with other ducks and he didn't
like them, Ronald thought he was human. When we were getting ready to leave he followed us back to the car. It was sad, but for a better life we had to leave him with the other ducks.

That's amazing! And sad of course

My duckling's name was Edgie. She was so cute. I loved her so much, she was like my baby. But she died, I couldn't stop crying

It was horrible!
