Avoid chicken wire and stick with 1/2 hardware cloth. Coons go right through standard chicken wire.

Thanks all for the warm welcome and positive comments. We now have a "chicken room" and my wife is all right now and another trip to TS resulted in everything for an electric fence once we get a coop in place. The build starts this weekend according my honey-do list.
