Cheers, y'all. I had chickens when I lived in the States, I'm in Central America now. We have eight hens that are small hens with white feathers, who lay white eggs; they are the "criollo" or improved native chicken variety. I suppose they are leghorns. We've only had them for a couple of weeks, and they came as young laying hens. Good layers and very "manso," meaning tame or docile.
Fave aspect is sitting out with them for a bit when they are free-ranging and relaxing. Also, it's fun to think of ways to keep them occupied while in the coop, so ideas like the chicken food tower seem like fun, easy projects, so thanks to the forum!
