Seramas were bred to be house pets in Malaysia. They do well in confinement. My friend has two silkies and two seramas that have been house pets from day one.

They have never been outside and don't seem to miss it, they have been very hardy for her - active and interested in what goes on around them. They watch TV with her every evening. Her silkies have not been as robust.
