I am new in all ways! I’m new to the group and I have just started with my first three brown hens a little over 4 months! I have one coop and am building a covered run, very large as I’m getting a second coop next week! I’m looking to get baby chicks soon to add to my growing hen house. I have been involved with animal rescue for 19 years and have 10 dogs of my own along with 3 fosters currently. I am enjoying my morning routine with my girls, collecting eggs and taking them greens and scratch. I am a full time student online at Miller-Motte and live a busy life. I hope to learn from the experience of others in the group, thank you for adding me!

G’Day from down under Jackieshenhouse.. :frow Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out. This one in particular may be of interest to you:
Topic of the Week - Integrating Chicks into an Adult Flock

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
