New to the group!

Hi, my name is Vicky and after checking in to read threads, I thought it was time to join (plus I have so many questions from time to time!). I am new to hobby farming and jumped in about a year ago with a variety of animals. I was given 6 leghorns who were "rescued" from a bad situation (one has since passed). I never knew how much I would enjoy these gals! I also never knew how much work it would be! (Mostly dealing with feet pecking and having to tend to wounds daily in the winter months.) I built a 6x8 coop in the barn for them with a door to an outdoor run which is fully fenced in. (I would love to be able to free range but we have a fox den within 200 feet and lots of other wildlife around.) The run is 14'x70'. My adult son talked me into getting 4 chicks this spring so I am preparing to integrate them and have questions which I will post in a new thread.
