Hi Everyone! My name is Cat, and I am a fairly new chicken owner! Going on about 2 years now. I have 9 hens and 1 obnoxious rooster!!

So far, I haven't had any big issues. My flock looks great!!!
But....one of my Black Copper Marans has an issue that I haven't been able to figure out!!
She has no feathers on her back, or at least half of her back. And a raised scab at the top of both wings. At first I thought it might be lice or mites and I was treating her with diatomaceous earth. But I'm not sure now that that was the problem as her feathers are not growing back. So I have recently started giving her extra protein, to try and boost feather production, and I put a mixture of coconut oil and bag balm on her skin and the 2 scabs, trying to soothe the area. I also just ordered a chicken saddle, because it's so hot and I'm worried about her skin getting sunburned. It has been months, and I don't know why the feathers are not growing back.
Other than the missing feathers, she looks and acts perfectly healthy!!!!!
Anyone have any idea what could be wrong with her, and what to do?!
I'm excited to be in the group, and hope to learn a lot!!!
