New to the Peacock World !

I just bought my first peacock the other night, it's about 2mths old or so - How do you sex a peacock ??? And should I get a second one to keep it company or is 1 okay ???

two is better than one. we have only one male and he runs away all the time, he was gone for 3 weeks once looking for hens. we are planning on getting a hen for him soon, otherwise he has bonded with our guinea hen.

I would get another! I think it would be lonely. On other posts people have said to get another. If you can, then yes get another.




Homeschool mom also, 7 Peacocks, 2 dogs, 5 EE, 13 Golden Laced Cochin Bantams, and a stray chicken, do not know what it is.

ya we found him living at some guys house 6 miles down the road. they said it was cool for the first week having a peacock in their yard but then they wanted him gone after he scratched up their black truck, screamed at 4 in the morning right next to their bedroom every day, and ruined their gardens
