Spookwriter, I am called.

Have a small flock of egg layers in southern Ohio because they entertain us.
One Rhode Island Red and his 12 dancing girls.

Not to be outdone, they also have their own pet-- a duck, who lives with them.

Interested in some silkies for a daughters 4-H project this year. Anyone have
some well-learned advice in this matter? New to 4-H...so we're looking at a
learning curve.

from Ocala, FL. I don't know a lot about Silkies but I know you don't want any pink or red combs, and feathers should not go past the middle toe, also their skin should be dark not pink. There are alot of folks on here that know a lot about Silkies so I'm sure someone will be able to guide you in the right direction.
