New to the site and chickens

Hello everyone, from south central PA


. I have been using the info from this site for a few months now preparing for our new chickens. We have had 8 chicks for a few weeks now and I'm in the process of building a coop and fenced in area (we have hawks and foxes so free range scared us) I had to show a pic of our soon to be completed coop. It must be ok because we have our first tenant.

. Make sure you keep that tenant locked out, he/she would delight in a poultry dinner.

I know I was intimidated by him, I can't imagine how my little girls would be. They are only a few weeks old so they can stay in the house for a few more weeks.

Thanks for the welcomes....
The owl was gone this morning and work on the coop continues tonight so I'm sure the hammering will keep him away. Can't wait for warm weather to get the girls into their new home.
