New to the site, just got back into the coop

Hello everyone, I've been researching poultry & I'm so glad to have found this site! I'm just starting back up, so far just a pair of BB OEGB that my daughter chose today. We'll get a few more OEGB hens/pullets, and haven't decided what else yet, it's so hard to choose favourites. We've been away from the coop for about 10 years, and missed it. Before that we raised & sometimes showed a fair variety of chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, as well as the odd rescued sheep, rabbit, pig, dog, snake etc. I worked in animal protection services so sometimes we had quite the odd zoo, it was a fantastic experience for the 4 kids and me, though my city raised family thought I was completely nuts (it wasn't unusual to find a sick or injured critter of some sort recovering in the house). I'm looking forward to refreshing my birdie education, and enjoying the entertainment that they provide. I'm even looking forward to cleaning the coop...I'm sure that will change soon
