New to this chicken news

Hi there,
I am Denise and I am new to the chicken world.. We live in Oklahoma, my husband built this great coop and run and we added an automated chicken door.
I have 6 hens, they are doing well, still learning the ropes. Not sure they know how to roost, hoping that will come with time
Anxious to read about others and their chicken stories.

I hope you enjoy your flock! Just a few tips:
If you want them to be friendly hand feed them treats ,hang out and "talk" to them. Come down to their level sit or kneel with them.
Each has their own personality and can be quite comical.
Watch and protect them while they are roaming especially dusk and dawn, predators are more active then.
Chickens, being prey animals will mask illness or injury, check their face, feet, comb, and bodies for anything unusual.

There is much more and many helpful folks here to help along the way!
