Hello I am from southern il my wife kids and I just got some new chickens from a friend so I've been on here reading and looking for some help we have 7 hens 1 rooster in a old shed I turned into a coop so I'll probably be asking for a lot of advice thanks

Glad you could join the flock! Congratulations on your new additions to the family Do you know what breed they are? Great you were able to reuse a shed and turn it into a coop for them.

Thelma is very pretty; and the pullet she's holding is a Black Australorp. Australorps are a very calm and gentle breed, and my children and granddaughter made lap pets of ours. )
