Hey everyone!! I love my chickens!! I have two acres, and I love the country!! I am redoing an tobacco barn to live in!! Crazy I know but its my piece of heaven on earth, my papa left me!

1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I got my first chickens about two years ago. I started BIG, 50 chickens, but I was my ex boyfriend at the time and we enjoyed it and we did well with it, but then I moved them to my own property when things went south. I love being outside with them. I had red bourbon turkeys, call ducks, and peacocks with them.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 25

(3) What breeds do you have? Polish, seabright bantams, bb reds, lavender orpingtons (that I love and raise from their eggs), buff orpington, black orpington, four call ducks, two red golden pheasant pairs, one silver pheasant pair, one yellow golden pheasant pair, one lady amheryst pheasant pair, two easter eggers (not sure what they are called but I love their cheeks), I am dying to get a tolbunt polish, and more polish. I have a GQC big incubator, and love watching them hatch.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? stubbled on it through google!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? running my own gift shop, reading, and my babies!

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am a small business owner, work as a manager at a large company in south ga, I nursed for about 10 years until I became sick with cancer, SURVIVOR!!, love my country simple life, and wish everyone nothing but happiness. I have no kids, I love my family dearly. I am divorced. I am here mainly to learn how to protect my chickens and obtain more!

Great introduction!

It is great having you here

Any ideas on where to get a male yellow golden, and a female lady amheryst? Have you ever put a red golden female with a male lady amheryst?
Try SoftbillsforSale.com or your local Craigslist. I sold the last 5 Yellow Golden males (1yr old) I have this weekend. Not likely that you will find a Amherst hen right now, breeding season is starting and no one wants to turn loose of their hens right now.
