Hoping neighbor's don't give me a problem. I was really hoping the law here meant that I could have a coop 50 feet from my neighbor's house, but someone elsewhere just posted it was 50 feet from even my house.

How do you deal with neighbors who don't love your new endeavor?

My kids are very excited to begin this adventure!

Hello and welcome to BYC

I think as long as your chickens don't make too much noise and you give the neighbours a few eggs now and then they hopefully won't mind having your chickens next door.

! Pleased you joined us! I agree with Sumi...a gift of a few eggs goes a long way to having happy neighbors. Plus there are breeds that are quieter than others. Roosters would not be a good idea, of course. Good luck to you!

I'm loving just watching the chicks! They are so curious and entertaining, I find it relaxing. :-) My parents live 5 houses from us, and it's so funny that they come down to visit the chicks every day. They don't even visit the grand kids every day! Lol! I think they are loving it because they both grew up with chickens around but haven't had them around since their teen years.
