New to this.. it’s been interesting

:welcome:woot:woot:celebrate:yesss:Hello and welcome to BYC, You found an Awesome poultry Forum to be a part of with many great knowledgeable members who are more then willing to jump in and help you with any questions you may have. :)

We also have four Isa Browns in our small flock and love them. If you don't know already, since they are a sex linked hen and breed for the purpose of great egg production, they are also subject to reproductive issues more so over other pure breeds.

Unfortunately we have one hen who will have an egg bound issue from time to time and we keep a bottle of Calcium Gluconate on hand when she acts up and within 24 hours of a single dose she will be back to her normal self. Best of luck on your journey and please keep us all posted. :)

We do have a bigger thing with more space to move them to, which will be set up and situated sometime this week:) I’d love to move them to the coop, but the weather here has been completely bonkers! Went from 70+ for over a week with fairly mild nights down to freezing and it’s going to be fluctuating for the next month or so. I don’t think we could keep them comfy enough in terms of heat in the coop right now. But their space will be expanding, which I’m sure they’ll absolutely love!

Thanks for the info! They’re growing super fast, so I’m really glad we had a larger area for them waiting in the wings and quick to set up! I had one with some booty issues, but after a few warm eater soaks yesterday it seems to have cleared up.. but I’ll be keeping an eye on it today. This forum has definitely been super helpful. Every little question I’ve had so far has been answered more than once on here, which is awesome:)
