Thanks for the great welcome.
I saw they were out of feed at the store today

So it got me to thinking what to do if that happened after we actually had the hens.

Our daughter gave us some cereal her neighbor gave her it's healthy stuff the
grand kids don't like we agreed it would work for chickens not all the time.

We have fruit trees in the back yard and they could have what falls from the trees as well.
There is an apple orchard less than a mi. away so I could check in to the culls and bad fruit from there as well.

We have a smallish garden. Grapes will be on soon.

At the farmers market today I went around asking if the various vendors had chickens most did not some were not selling hens, but found one that did and would sell a few so I got her card! Yea!!!

We have the coop roof done Yea!

It's taking longer than we thought this would but enjoying the process for the most part.
Now we are working on the nest boxes.
