New to this thread and chicken life.

Thank you all so much for the kind words. It’s been a pretty busy few days and I haven’t had a chance to get on and reply to everyone. Last night we had a baby chick pip. Then I got woken up by my daughter at 3:45 am because another eggs exploded in the incubator. I cleaned it up best I could. Baby was hatched this morning and after a few hours moved into our brooder type area. We candled the rest of the eggs and found only three more to be viable. Although I think I was wrong on that and I feel so bad that I won’t even share the details. 😭 Does anyone have any suggestions on how to clean the incubator without harming the other three eggs. Thank you all so much

If those eggs haven't pipped yet, just remove them. Rinse them if they have that on them too and without rubbing them, just let them dry on a towel. Then clean fast with dish soap and water. I'd wipe with a hilex wipe. Blow dry it dry if you have to. Try do all of this in under 5 minutes. That shouldn't hurt your eggs.

If they pipped, I'd just leave it alone but when they hatch if they have that rotten egg stuff on them, I'd rinse them and blow dry them.

Thank you!!! No they haven’t pipped yet. I did a small clean up yesterday but I will do this! The eggs thankfully didn’t get any on them. I will also try to find some of those wipes!! Thank you again so much.
