Yes that is the initial plan I only what to show my 3 year old daughter how they hatch she's been a bit curious;-)

This hen is currently broody on 12 eggs

In my experience, introduced at night the hens will adopt them just fine. But if the chicks are too old, they may already be independent enough that they won't necessarily take to the hen.

So sorry to say that the 2 eggs that I've been incubating had premature deaths because of loadshedding but happy to say that 12 of 16 eggs that by hen was laing on have hatched
