Okay so my mom has finally agreed to let me get chickens in March!! She originally said we will not raise chicks but..... I kinda really want to. And I plan for my birthday to ask her to allow me to raise chicks because she's not completely against it. But now my question is do I have to get all the same breed of chicks or can I get all different of should I get pairs I don't want any of them to bully other ones so the plan I have is to order hens or the chick days and the breeds I would like to get and I know I can have are Easter Eggers, Orpingtons, Barred Rock, Cinnamon Quenn, Rhode Island Red, and Silver laced Wyandotte. So can I get all different chicks?

And Btw I'm only allowed 6 chickens in my city

Of course you can mix breeds, as long as there isn't one that looks very different from the rest (for example a polish in a flock of barred rocks) or is a gentle breed know to get picked on with a more aggressive breed (like faverolles with rhode island reds).
If I were you I would get orpington, wyandotte, barred rock, australorp, and other similar breeds. You can get several different color varieties of one breed as well for more diversity. Rhode Island Reds can sometimes be pushy and more aggressive but there are plenty that are nice too. Red Sexlinks, being a production breed, can sometimes live shorter lives due to reproductive issues but of course some can live a long time too.
I also think you might want a speckled sussex. I have no experience with them but they are supposed to be docile and friendly, good layers and undoubtedly BEAUTIFUL!
Good luck with your adventure!
