New to this!

I'm just worried about him maybe having internal injuries. And trying to touch him or move him if I will cause more damage. Is there a certain wSy I can handle him maybe that would be better for this?
You have to handle him. Just be slow and gentle. He must be treated and secured or he might not make it

Handle him as gently as possible, but you must examine him pretty thoroughly in order to know how to care for him. Chickens are pretty tough. Give him sugar water or electrolytes as advised above to get him through the shock. Be brave! We've seen chickens survive some seemingly horrendous wounds and hopefully your boy isn't hurt too badly. Good luck!

Welcome to BYC. I'm so sorry your rooster was hurt. I'd take a towel and gently wrap it around him to transport him into the house. He may try to bite, because he is scared and in pain. Most likely he is in shock and will just let you handle him with no problem.
You've gotten good advice for treating him. I hope he will be okay.

Hope your rooster will be fine.

Recipe for water with electrolytes:
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 teaspoons honey OR molasses OR granulated sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda OR 1 teaspoon apple cider vinager

Well the update is, it was a very long day. After the long and very dramatic ordeal of moving Bird to a different location, dark and quiet and warm, I think might have been too much. He's not moving, but seems to be breathing. He's not responsive in any way, he's legs and feet are curling up he's on his side and he's limp. Thank you for all of your advice, but I really don't think he's going to make it through the night. That leaves me with what to do about my four hens all of which are about to have babys hatch any day. Four we're hatched today. But he was there protector, he was big daddy. I will miss him.
