New to this!

Well the update is, it was a very long day. After the long and very dramatic ordeal of moving Bird to a different location, dark and quiet and warm, I think might have been too much. He's not moving, but seems to be breathing. He's not responsive in any way, he's legs and feet are curling up he's on his side and he's limp. Thank you for all of your advice, but I really don't think he's going to make it through the night. That leaves me with what to do about my four hens all of which are about to have babys hatch any day. Four we're hatched today. But he was there protector, he was big daddy. I will miss him.
You can always keep the dominant bird. He will step up and take the role of flock protector. He may not be as good as your poor boy was.

You also need to give him some time to rest. He may still pull through. I hope he does.

Sorry to hear he is so unwell. But your flock will survive without a rooster too. And from his offspring you might have a good rooster again in a year or 2.

UPDATE!! So Bird seems much better after last night's ordeal when moving him. Awoke this morning to a rooster no longer on his side and back to his belly position. He allowed me to administer somewhat of cleansing to his wound but still won't allow too much. It seemed as though he was struggling to breath a bit more than yesterday as I realized his beak wouldn't open. So I administered more sterile water to his beak over and over again and through that he was able to open his beak more and more as he tried to drink down the fluids. Then I seen his tongue was stuck to the roof of his beak from all of the blood and fluids drying inside of his beak. Thank God he let me get to him when he did. Because he just drank and drank the fluids I gave him Everytime. Then I was able to give him m some electrolyte water as well.his wound doesn't seem too bad as far as I can see it's closed anyway. And he seems to be in a bit of pain on his left side I don't know if it's his wing or the side of his body. He just won't let me handle him like that. He allowed me to squirt the water on his beak and surrounding areas and he let me wipe his beak down around his wound and as more fluids oozed out of his beak from the water breaking it up, he let me wipe that away as well. He's still isolated in a dark area with air flow and he's laying down again but both of his eyes are still shut, swollen shut it seems. So I'm concerned about that. I need to really know how much of the electrolyte water vs regular sterile water I should be giving him and how often. He still doesn't seem to be interested in drinking the water on his own. Maybe because he can't see?? Today he was laying in his bowl of electrolyte water. The ladies seem lonely, but there alright. And I was all but almost ready to have mercy on his poor life and stop his suffering, because it really seemed like he was, suffering. But after really cleaning his wounds and seeing him finally put some fluids down I have more hope. But what should I watch for as far as this condition is concerned? Thank you for everyone's advice. You're all a really great group, and I appreciate you.😊

Also I'm wondering how much heat in his area is okay or a fan or what be ause it's awfully hot here today, and only about to get hotter.

But what should I watch for as far as this condition is concerned?
Bad smell or red, inflamed skin that would indicate infection. This is why it's so important to flush his wounds as clean as possible and spray with a disinfectant spray and keep him clean while he recovers.
This is a hopeful update. Thanks for sharing.
