Hi, We are the Schafersman's. We recently purchased a new acreage in which we gained 5 adult chickens. Not sure of their kind but they are red hens. They are now formally known as the ladies! We all love western shows so I decided our new Chicken Coop that we are in the process of building will be known as The Chicken Ranch...just a little play on words for our new brood.
The ladies are laying 3-5 eggs daily and I have quickly discovered that 5 hens can produce more eggs than I need... So I am curious what you all do with eggs and if you sell them...

You can give them to neighbors to keep them friendly. I've heard that some folks give them to homeless shelters/soup kitchens. Welcome to Backyard chickens. More greeters will be responding to your post - I'm sure they will have more suggestions.

Welcome to Backyardchickens.com aka BYC! :frow
:yesss:We are glad you joined our flock.
Jump right in and make yourself at home.:highfive:

I donate all eggs to who ever wants them.
I also feed some eggs back to 'my girls.'
