New to Wyandottes

I didnt think cackle had single combed wyandottes good to know...wont ever buy from there as they arent pure as comb type has nothing to do with fertility imo.
To clarify, I'm not sure that they do, it's just something I'm now concerned about. Could be that the bird in question didn't actually come from Cackle. I can update once I get my chicks this week based on their combs. I'm definitely a proponent of first-hand experience.

Do you plan on showing is why you dont want single?

I have Welsummers but recently added some Wyandotte to my flock from someone who was moving away.
She bought them from Cackle as Red Splash Wyandotte but they are very different looking from each other. Is this a natural color difference that happens between birds of this breed or is one actually another strain? Thanks for the help!

"Lula" - bright white lace & feathers, rose comb
"Bluebell" - blue/gray lace, flat comb
So beautiful 😍

I can't say first-hand either, just what the person I aquired the birds from told me. The other three pullets I got from her that she purchased from Cackle at the same time are silver laced with rose combs and all lovely birds.

Hows the lacing on those?

Very mi wyandotte

So I’m not a pro at this but I happen to have 6 Splash Laced Red Wyandotte’s from Cackle. Hatched 3/28/2022.
All have rose combs (I have 5 GLW from two years ago from Cackle also all rose comb) so that’s a small data set from Cackle on rose combs. All 11 have them.
My youngsters (Splash laced) have varying shades of white to grey but show spots (splash). I’m currently struggle with which to keep. So from my limited experience Splash Laced have some variance.
My pictures are weeks old. I’ll try and get more tomorrow if you are interested

Blessings
