New tom arrived tonight!! How do I introduce him to the hens?

Yeah, they still seem to want to lay down for him (even though he is penned up away from them, he is separated by a wire screen they can see through). I thought he should gain his strength back and also settle in a little bit, so I figure by Sunday I'll let him out to range, with maybe a short conjugal visit each morning.
