new tom

How long before eggs will be fathered by the new tom,(who's ya daddy).is it the same as for chickens

Your question is a little confusing. How old is your tom?

They will breed immediately if he is mature (7-8 months old would be my guess for a mature tom) and you put him with the hen.

Turkey eggs take 28 days to hatch, once the hen starts setting on them.

I'm sorry ,I should have been more clear.The tom is 1 1/2 years old,but I moved the hen out of the pen with my other tom to cross her with this tom,so I just wondered how long before I can be sure he's the daddy.She has been laying since April.
