New turkeys to my flock!

They are really great birds, ours are much more curious and people friendly than any of our other birds. We have 6 different breeds and each one is different, not only by size but the way they act. Some friendly, some curious, some standoffish, always fun and relaxing to watch. We started off with a pair of Midget Whites years ago and now have over a hundred turkeys. I always tell people "everybody loves a turkey"

Steve, I hope you don't mind but I use your pic of the two male Bourbon Reds as wallpaper on my computer. They are magnificent! Interesting, all the different breeds out there.

I've fallen in love with turkeys. I have 5 royal palms (5 weeks old). They are a hoot to watch and love to be petted. I plan on getting more breeds. Since I live in NC, I asked sandspoultry to hatch some for me. Sharon responded asking which breeds interested me. Now I just need to decide and balance my checkbook! Wouldn't have needed to balance my checkbook had it not been tax day...sheesh! lol

I love turkey poults!

yours are so cute and fuzzy!

I can't wait till mine hatch.

By the way, make sure you feed them HIGH protein feed, or supplement daily with hard-boiled egg yolks. Turkey poults are more fragile than chicks and need that extra extra protein right away. Plus give them small chick grit sooner than you would chicks.

Best!
