New waterer

I wanted a 2 gallon waterer and the only thing available was one with the nipples. How do you teach the chickens how to use the new waterer.

The chickens curiosity usually gets the job done. One will peck at the red of the nipples and drink the water that comes out. The rest will follow.
Keep your old waterer out until you are sure they are drinking from the nipple waterer. In hot weather it's best to have a second source of water so I keep a pan out with a large chunk of ice thawing in it that the chickens sip at throughout the day.
