New with a Question

Hello Everyone,

I am a New Member to BackYard Chickens but I like to know I know a lot about chickens themself!! I have many chickens currently now! I am hatching out 18 chicks soon so hopefuly it will go ok! I no its very quick for me to be asking a question at this stage but I need to no as soon as!

This Year I am going to show my chicken at a show, this is my first time so I dont no much!

Has anyone got any tips that would be useful to me?

from southern Ohio!!! My brothers and I show meat pen chickens though 4-H. It may be different from what you are going to be doing, but here is some advice anyway. Give your chicken a bath before the show but make sure that he/she is not even the least bit damp for the show (judges hate wet chickens). Rub a little bit of lard or Crisco on your chickens comb and wattles to make them look shinny. I hope that helps! Good luck!
