Pat chuckled. "Oh jeez, I have to lay an egg." She said and went to the other side of the bush to have a little privacy.

After a few minutes Pat was clucking loudly. It was in a chickens nature to cluck after laying. "You should feel lucky, you don't have to lay yet." She said and groaned.

"Yeah, I'm dying to go broody but I don't have a stinking rooster in this bunch. I MUST have one soon or I'll go nuts." She said and ate some sand for grit.

"I wish it wasn't in my nature, slaving in this weather would be a killer." Phoenix said, she was tempted to sit on Pat's egg.

"I agree, I'm gonna get my comb sun burned!" Phoenix said and got up, walking to a green line which was far far away. "Wanna race? It'll be the easiest way to get there." Phoenix said to the others.
