New Year Block swap

this funny courtesy of @keepmumsane she posted iton my facebook page yesterday.
we're not quite there at my house yet!
That is funny. Also explains why I opted out on the mug rugs -- w/ my 3 sets of dishes, plus my doz or so odd tea mugs, plus all the mugs inherited from DH's granny my kitchen currently holds upwards of , gotta think on it, something like 70 maybe 90 mugs. This does not count mugs in storage. hum. ok so maybe I have too many mugs, BUT there was one time we had 20 ppl over and we got caught in a sudden cold rainstorm so I made tea/coffee for everyone but ran out of mugs for hot drinks, decided I'd never let that happen again. True 70 ppl would not fit in my house, not even all standing upright. But 1:6 would be Waaaay more mug rug than I could fit anywhere, even if I stored some in my car trunk, or the chicken coop...

BTW love that last picture of fabric for this swap , nice assortment there.

I still haven't started actually making the blocks (this is ok, it is my only focus this week, aside from making jelly, I was gifted 120 pomogranates, so far in 3 days/3batches I have used 17poms plus 3cups strawberries I froze last spring = 19 half pints pure pom jelly & 6pint 1 halfpint pom&staw jelly. Anyone know how many days the poms can sit around w/o spoiling? b/c I do need to switch over to get these blocks done).

love the cartoon thanks for sharing

Yes I know this color palette which I thought would be easy to find did prove to be a challenge.

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope Santa is good to all of you and you stay safe and warm. If this is not your holiday then I wish you your holiday wishes.

No clue on the fruit.

Happy Holidays y'all all! We have had our Christmas Eve dinner and are all ready for tomorrow. We are are sharing our lunch with Mary and her father to make it more jolly! We have avoided the worst of the storms here but my Mother and Sister who live in the south are both without electricity and have been told it is unlikely to be restored until after the holidays! They are both eating with my sisters in laws tomorrow and they have power so as long as mum keeps warm enough they will be ok.

Happy Holidays Every One,
May family and friends be with you all. I 'm very ready for the New Year and good weather for us all
soon.
Our neighbor Janice will be with us tomorrow for dinner, she is a widow and a quilter too, but she only does 9 patch and only in browns, but we can have good quilting discussions

Happy days lovelies! We're on to the boxing day chill out. Yahhhhh!

And i just got excited about the autumn colours, thought of my plan..now to test it..if I could just find my fabric..... the hazards of madly tidying up at the last minute!

Merry christmas
:hugs

Yes, fabrics are always prewashed.
Pre-washing in unscented & avoiding any type of fabric softener (they are all scented; esp avoiding "Fabreeze") would be much appreciated by those of us who are deadly allergic to those. chemicals... Thanks.

(In case you don't know, several brands of laundry detergent now come in unscented/hypoallergenic for example "Free &Clear" is a product name I think that one is from the Tide line, Arm & Hammer has one also, can't recall the name, a few years ago these were rare & costly but so many ppl have developed the allergies to the perfumes that now they are pretty common & don't cost any more, even the local Walmart carries at least one of them to give you an idea how common they are.)
