New Year Block swap

Oh Mystery quilt of the month on craftsy.com has started today is the first day.

I have made bindings from all the fabrics in a quilt many times, looks great. It works best if there is a plain or contrasting border between quilt and binding.
Can't find this mystery quilt on UK craftsy, can you post a link?

I really am such a newbie! Have all my blocks made, had to do a whole different pattern than planned as I posted earlier...well I took in the 1/4" into acct on 1/2 of my blocks...now I have 12x11 blocks...ughhh now to figure out how to add an inch...can't win lol!!!

When you make a mystery quilt the blocks are revealed one at a time and right at the end you are told how to put them together. Sometimes a picture will be revealed, sometimes a pattern. You don't know what it will look like till it's finished

If it is a picture what if you chose really wrong colors?

What if at the end you don't like it that much?

that is all part of the excitement ! just don't use your best fabric! I think you would pretty much work out what to use with this one with your experience . I have managed to find my way on now

@katsdar I got the info on the Mystery Quilt and sure enough the first thing she wants is a Christmas tree, I don't do holiday type quilts so I'm going to a winter type of tree, she said the we could do this.
@Kassaundra in this one she has you use you own fabric choices so each persons will be different.

I'm sticking w/ my known quilt of Doctor Who, but I would love to see you guys blocks as you get them.

Rustyhen totally agree I don't do holiday blocks either.

@quailtrail I would think maybe cut the block down to 11 inches all around and then add a border to make up for the difference just an idea. I had to do this for one of my earlier swaps, trust me you only make that mistake once.

rustyhen I did my first holiday quilt to give but I really don't want to have a Christmas tree in my quilt because you can't (to me) have it up all year, going to google different types of trees, just as long as the measurements match it should still work, let me know what you find.
