New Year Block swap

No envelopes at on PO. The other closed 15min before I got there. What's up with closing at 4??? One I went to is open 7-9 & then 2-4... I've been driving around with them for 2 days. Tomorrow I will run out before my conference call.

Oh I hate that, I have a PO that closes for lunch 1 to 2 is that not crazy and of course I found out the hard way then had to drive across town to another one.

Mailing tomorrow. forgot to bring the blocks to work with me two days in a row. Aaarrgghhh!

About the chicken block swap. I think i might do it. What about a 12 block swap, any chicken block. As long as it resembles a bird. Pieced, paper pieced or applique. 12 in or framed to finish at 12 inches. Background to be neutral. Other than that the artist creates.

I printed out the silly chicken paper pieced block to give it a try. It finishes at eight inches so this one would need to be framed. It looks weird on the paper pieces but I'm going to try it out this weekend.

@Kassaundra your Weeping Angel is just amazing!

I told my husband I was going to concentrate on some (well quite a few) unfinished quilt projects before joining another swap, this could just make a liar out of me! lol (he has been married to me for 22 years doubt this will shock him, not the lying part but the being distracted by pretty things part!!!)

Took mine to the little post near my office at lunch. guess who was out of tyvek envelopes? so mine is coming in a little cardboard envelope. the blocks just barely fit. you may have to sit on it to get it to close for the return trip! ha ha.

You could enlarge it, some where I have the scale to enlarging pieces, lets say I want this block at 12 inches then the scale tells you if it is an 8 inch block you increase the size 10 % . I hope I have explained it so it is understandable, I really need to find it I will start looking
I could go for the enlargement thing. My darling man is a math whiz I'm certian he could help me come up with the ratio. Thanks for the idea!
